This is a drawing of an Egyptian carving in stone from the Denderah Temple of Hathor in Eygpt. What is at first not noticeable is that modern day planispheres (star maps) match this layout as one looks down at a map. However this carving comes from the ceiling and was meant to be seen looking upward which then means the order of the zodiac at the time of this carving may have been interpreted differently, or organized in a different fashion. There is a fascinating reason for this and is the key to understanding the pattern and order of the heavens and our relationship to it. Not a relationship of crude imaginative horoscopes, but a distinct reason for the creation itself.
- Does the term “signs of the times” relate in any way to signs in the heavens that we call constellations?
- Why are the high feasts of the Jews arranged near the equinoxes and what might they mean to us today?
